Northern Arizona University’s (NAU) School of Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) prepares socially responsible, culturally-aware students for success in an ever-changing, global hospitality industry through rigorous academic programs informed by faculty research and meaningful industry engagement. NAU was one of the first programs In the 1990s to develop a first online Bachelor of Science degree In Hotel and Restaurant Management. Also, established in 1986, the School of HRM is Arizona's oldest—and only accredited (ACPHA)—hospitality program and is consistently ranked among the world's best. Our vision that guides the NAU School of HRM is to be the Innovative International Leader in Hospitality Education, Scholarship, and Service. 

Flagstaff, Arizona is an internationally known tourist destination, and, as such, provides many hospitality-related employment opportunities for students. Situated about 80 miles south of the Grand Canyon, 10 miles south of prime ski slopes, and 30 miles north of Sedona’s famous red rocks, the city enjoys a four-season climate. Phoenix is just two hours away and Las Vegas less than four hours. HRM has active chapters of important student organizations, including the National Association for Catering and Events, Disney Club, Hospitality Entrepreneurs, Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International, National Society of Minorities in Hospitality, Meeting Planners International, and Future Executive Women in Hospitality.
