Our Story
Founded in 1985, the Hospitality, Event and Tourism Management Program (HETM) at UNT is one of the largest and best-known Hospitality, Event and Tourism Management programs in the U.S. In addition, the University of North Texas is ranked among the nation’s 115 top-tier research universities, according to the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Our vision is “To be a global leader in advancing education, creating knowledge, and shaping the Hospitality, Event and Tourism Management professionals of the future.” The HETM program seeks to provide our future industry leaders a solid academic foundation combined with extensive training in hospitality business skills, use of technology, and networking with industry professionals. We have earned numerous accolades for our HETM programs and initiatives as a testament to our mission-driven commitment to academic excellence.

WFCHRIE Scholarship Application
Six (6) $500 scholarships will be awarded – three (3) for graduate/undergraduate students, and three (3) for faculty members/lecturers. Award winners must be current West Federation CHRIE members, register and attend the conference. A check will be prepared and delivered to awardees at the conference.
